Tilipartners Oy strives to improve its language competencies to succeed in the global market
Tilipartners Oy is a Pori-based accounting firm that offers personalised online accounting and financial management services to both Finnish and international customers. The team consists of experts with strong professional knowledge and extensive experience in the field.
In autumn 2022, the experts partnered up with Lingo to improve their English proficiency through our language training.
International accounting
Tilipartners’ services cover all aspects of financial management, including helping companies and entrepreneurs with financial planning and forecasting. Four employees from the company participated in Lingo’s language training in the autumn of 2022.
“Electronic financial management software has made it possible to serve customers all over the world. Most of our customers are based in Finland, but there are also some in Sweden and France,” says Tilipartners’ CEO Pia Hyppönen.
“We serve many industries and work with a wide range of companies whose turnover may range from thousands to millions of euros.”
Customised language training
Some of Tilipartners’ customers speak a language other than Finnish, so the employees use English in their work almost every day.
“With international customers, all communication takes place in English. We wanted to learn the English terminology of our field and gain more confidence in speaking the language,” says Pia.
That’s where Lingo and our language instructor Patricia Mikkola stepped in. We started organising language training at Tilipartners’ own premises, where the employees had the opportunity to practice their English skills once a week under the guidance of our experienced, native English-speaking instructor.
“The training was very useful and gave us more confidence in speaking English. We also revised some grammar rules.”
Smooth language learning
Tilipartners’ employees have been satisfied with Lingo’s language training. The ten-lesson language course ended in November.
“Patricia is a great teacher and sufficiently demanding, we have been very pleased. We plan to continue the training once or twice a month so that we don’t forget what we’ve learned,” says Pia.
Language training for business and work
The goal of Lingo’s language training is to encourage companies and people working in expert positions to use English more confidently. Each lesson involves a lot of speaking.
The language course is held at Lingo’s or the client’s premises. We can also tailor the course to your company’s needs and organise the training online.
At the end of the course, you will have more confidence to use English in different situations.
