For AI-generated translations, you can choose either post-editing by a language reviewer, where the AI text is carefully reviewed and corrected, or a quick stylistic edit, in which the reviewer swiftly fixes only clearly noticeable errors in the final translation.
Official translations
An official translation, also known as an authorised translation, is a legally valid translation of documents such as certificates, official decisions, or any other documents submitted to a public authority.
A translation by a sworn, certified translator is always equivalent in value to the original document. Official translations are stamped and include the translator’s certification or sworn statement.

Pricing
The price of a translation depends on the language pair and the length of the source text. For AI translations, the price also includes an hourly charge for the time we spend on post-editing or stylising the text produced by the AI. Our quotes always provide an estimate for both translation and revision.
At Lingo, we price translations by the number of source text pages, since we translate complete texts, not just word for word. One page equals 1,560 characters without spaces.
Official translations also include certification by a sworn translator, and postage costs for paper copies are usually charged separately.
